Ship 529 was established in the summer of 1991 when a group of Boy Scouts from Troop 29 decided to take their high adventure summer program to the British Virgin Islands for 2 weeks of sailing. We spent ten days sailing the BVI in 1992. We returned to the BVI in 1996, 1999, and 2007. Ship 529 continues its proud tradition of training for and sailing in the BVI.
