5th Ultimate Adventure: BVI

Day Four - August 1, 2012

Departing: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola
Day Stop: Monkey Point
Night Stop: Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda

The fourth day is a very long sail broken in two. Our day stop at Monkey Point is a nice break for swimming, and also allows us to use a short cut passage to get to Spanish Town quicker. The trip from Monkey Point to Spanish Town will be partly under sail and partly under power; due to the mountains lining the passage we will be taking as a short cut. Spanish Town is the main settlement on Virgin Gorda, and is the only place other than Road Town that we will dock for the night. The Baths, a world-famous volcanic rock formation, are located nearby but we will be visiting them tomorrow.

Day Stop: Monkey Point.

A small cove on the lee side of Guana Island, Monkey Point offers abundant sea life to swim with area around.

Overnight Stop: Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda.

The one location we dock in overnight, Spanish Town is the small, main settlement on Virgin Gorda and offers amenities such as showers and laundry services. This will be another dinner out as well.
