5th Ultimate Adventure: BVI
Day Two - July 30, 2012
Departing: Soper's Hole, Tortola
Day Stop: Leinster Bay, St John, USVI
Night Stop: Little Harbor, Jost Van Dyke
Our second day will be another long sail, from Soper's Hole across the CHANNEL to Leinster Bay on St John, USVI. After the day stop, we will continue on to our overnight stop, Little Harbor on Jost Van Dyke, home of Sidney's Peace and Love Bar.
Day Stop: Leinster Bay, St John, USVI.
A small bay on the north side of St. John, Leinster Bay represents our best chance for swimming and snorkeling between Soper's Hole and Little Harbor. We previously visited this Bay during the 1999 Ultimate Adventure.
Overnight Stop: Little Harbor, Jost Van Dyke.
Little Harbor is home to the famous Sidney's Peace and Love Bar, one of three restaurants in the Harbor. Among the highlights are the lobster dinner and the many t-shirts hanging from the ceiling, left by happy patrons. We have left one of our Caribbean t-shirts every year. During our 2007 visit, we were able to locate our 1992 and 1999 shirts, but could not find the 1996 shirt (the year of Hurricane Bertha).
