Our original plan had us attending summer camp at Holcomb Valley for the first time. However, the Camp suffered hearvy winter storm damage and forced us to changed plans. Instead, we will be attending our council camp at Tahquitz.

Personally, I love summer camp. Camping for an entire week allows us the time and room to try new things. We have experimented with new additions to the tower, built a myriad of camp gadgets, and discovered the joys of sleeping in a hammock (day or night). While we will not be building the tower this year, there is always something new to do.

Camp rules require us all to wear our Class A Scout uniform while travelling. This is unusual for this Troop, since we usually travel in our Troop T-shirt. For travelling (and dinner at Camp) Class A uniform shall consist of Scout shirt, Scout shorts, Scout Belt, Scout Socks, Troop Beads & Fob, Troop Neckerchief, and a Neckerchief Slide of your choosing. Especially while on the boat be careful in your choice of Neckerchief Slide, they can get lost very easily. If you are missing any of these items please take care of that as soon as possible.

A Suggested Pack List is available. As always the Ten Essentials list is available. Several important items of note: per Camp and Troop regulations ABSOLUTELY NO electronics, weapons, fireworks, spear guns, or cell phones are to be brought to camp. Please leave these items at home. Failure to do so will result in an early exit for you from Camp.
