Next Meeting

The CAA Board will meet on Monday, May 12, 2008, 7:30 p.m. at Grace First Presbyterian, 3955 Studebaker Rd, Long Beach. At this meeting we will complete classifications and planning Softball games for the 2008 season. A representative from each congregation wishing to participate must be present.  

Summer 2008 Softball

The softball classification games will be played Saturday, May 3 and May 10.  All teams wanting to participate in the regular season need to play in order to determine how to divide the teams to make for the fairest competition.  Please contact Paul Raine immediately to have your congregation included.

The cost for the season will the $225 per team payable to CAA plus $12 per game payable to the umpire during the regular season.  CAA 2008 dues of $75 per congregation are payable if you did not participate in the latest volleyball league.  League fee and dues must be delivered along with team rosters signed by the congregation pastor at the next board meeting.

Grace First Presbyterian Church announces Sunday Softball Fellowship

You are invited to participate in Grace First Sunday Softball Fellowship!

Every summer for the last 25+ years, GFPC has held an informal softball  league .  The league is open to members, non-members, friends of members ...  anyone who enjoys softball or wants to find out if they enjoy softball.  Open to men & women, boys & girls, beginner to advanced, junior high age to  still breathing .  Games will take place Sunday afternoons June 1  - July 20 (no games on July 6th); 1:30 & 2:45 at a park in the Long Beach / Lakewood area.  The cost per player is $25 which covers field rental, umpire fees and a team t-shirt.  Sign-ups take place beginning Easter Sunday and continue through the month of April.  Questions? Player Code of Conduct

The CAA Board wants all participants to know what is expected of players on a team.  Please review and abide by the guidelines presented in the CAA Player Code of Conduct.  Violations will be strictly enforced.  Please refer questions and comments to your team representative or CAA Board member.
