My Summer Vacation

My summer vacation started June17, 1999 with a big surprise. It was my dad. I did not recognize him at all. He said "Shaylene." I said, "What?" He said, "Look, right here." I said "Daddy!"   I ran right to him, hugged him tight and then started to cry. I had not seen him for 10 months.

When we found my sister, I showed him my classroom and my teacher Mrs. Kennedy. Then I showed my dad the bird that was in my classroom. We looked in my sister’s room and next we had to find my mom to tell her we are going with dad.

After that, we went to my mom’s house to get our things. Then we went to my aunt’s house for a night. That night we ate out for dinner. Then we went back to the house while they took my aunt to the mall.

We had to go to bed at the same time as our cousin’s. They still had to go to school the next day.

The next day we went out for breakfast and went to the swap meet. After that, we had to go back to my mom’s house so we could spend time with her.

The next day we had to go to Amanda & Melissa’s baseball game. It was pretty cool seeing their last game.

At about 8:00p.m we loaded all our things into my dad’s van. They talked for a while and then we were on our way to Idaho.

About a week later I made a new friend. Her name was Chrishelle.  She was just about 13 years old.

Then, about a month later, there was a fair. I worked at the fair. The fair was going on from July 26-31. I worked on the 26th, 27th, 29th, and the 30th. I got paid $134.33.

The next day we went to the fair with our grandparents & our dad. Before we rode some rides, we had to eat something. We had an all day pass. About an hour later I met up with my friend. It was cool.

We went on a lot of rides. I went on Aladdin, Swing’s, Rocket’s, the Slide, Bumper Car’s, Caucasus, and the Strawberry’s. The rides were a lot of fun.

When we got tired, we went and watched some people sing. We sat down for a while and then went on more rides for the rest of the night.

The last ride we went on was the Caucasus. Before the ride started I stared to cry. When it actually stared, I cried, "GET ME OFF!" My friend started to laugh. I was the only one who did not go on any more rides.

At about 12:15am we went home. My dad helped take down all the rides. I was not even tired and neither was my sister.

We did a lot more things during the summer, but I am going to rap this story up.

I HAD THE BEST SUMMER VACATION EVER!
